Humidity Sensors Designed for Challenging Applications & Environment. Industries need accurate measuring instruments for evaluating energy efficiency, weather conditions, etc. To measure parameters, such as air flow, air speed, humidity, temperature, etc. various types of measuring and testing devices are available in the market.
Kimo Instruments is proud to bring a wide range of analyzing, monitoring, and testing instruments, like Humidity Transmitters for measuring the humidity in air.
Humidity Sensor
It is an interesting electronic device that measures the amount of water vapor content in the air/ atmosphere. The humidity sensor, also known as a hygrometer can sense, measure, and easily report moisture and air temperature. The sensors work by detecting any kind of changes that alters the temperature in the air or the electrical currents.
Two Groups of Humidity Sensors
Well, humidity sensors can be easily divided into two groups, such as relative humidity sensors and absolute humidity sensors. Each sensor is designed to calculate the relative humidity by comparing the reading of live humidity at a given temperature with the maximum amount of humidity for air for the same temperature. The relative humidity or (RH) is a crucial factor for complete comfort.
It must be kept in mind that the humidity sensors might vary in size as well as functionality. Some sensors can be easily mounted; whereas, some are integrated into larger systems.
Common Type of Humidity Sensor
Some common types of humidity transmitters are Hygrostat, Humidity and Temperature Sensor, and more. Among them, one of the most common types of humidity sensors is a Hygrostat.
A Hygrostat is an instrument that measures and controls the humidity. It can measure humidity ranging from 5 to 95% RH and temperature ranging from 0 to+50°C for ambient model and -20 to +80°C for duct mount and remote model. Other types of humidity sensors are capable of measuring humidity ranging from 0% RH to 100% RH and temperature ranging from -20 to +80°C and -40 to+180°C.
Kimo Instruments manufactures a wide range of humidity sensor products for measuring relative humidity. Well, these humidity detectors are known to provide accurate measurement of humidity by combining the Relative Humidity (RH) and Temperature (T).
The application of humidity sensors is very wide. Its usage could be seen in HVAC systems, and even in industries like automobile, manufacturing, and so on.
