Solarimeters

The solarimeter is a device that measures the amount of solar radiation that reaches the surface of the Earth. Solarimeter is a pyranometer, a type of measuring device used to measure the combined direct and diffuse solar radiation. A black body absorbs heat developed by solar radiation, which is measured by an integrating solarimeter. It was designed by an Italian priest, Father Angelo Bellani and has seen usage on the face of modern societies.
